MisoTech — Personal Brand & Content Platform
The site you are browsing: a production-grade content platform built and operated solo on Next.js 14 with Notion as a headless CMS. Bilingual (EN/中文) with dark mode, full-site CJK search with relevance ranking, comment moderation with anti-spam scoring, email & Web-Push subscriptions, a content state machine with scheduled publishing, and an admin console — architected, built and tuned end-to-end by one person.
Responsibilities
- Architecture, design system & full-stack development
- Notion headless CMS integration & content pipeline
- Full-site search 2.0: CJK tokenization, relevance ranking & search analytics
- Comment anti-spam scoring & moderation state machine
- Subscription system: email + Web Push (VAPID)
- Content state machine, scheduled publishing & admin console
- Performance tuning & Vercel image-quota governance
Why I Built It
MisoTech ("Decode the Stack") is my personal brand site. I wanted more than a template portfolio: a real production system that publishes bilingual content, grows an audience and operates itself — a living reference for how I build software.
Platform Highlights
Bilingual & fast by design
- Parallel EN/ZH routing with a full dark-mode design token system
- Next.js image & font optimization; on-demand ISR so Notion edits go live fast
Search 2.0
- CJK tokenization + relevance scoring across blog posts and projects
- Type-ahead suggestions, related-content recommendations and a search-analytics dashboard
Community & growth systems
- Nested comments with anti-spam scoring, a moderation state machine and owner notifications
- Email (Resend) + Web Push (VAPID) subscriptions with a degraded local mode
Content ops
- Draft → Scheduled → Published state machine with cron publishing and HMAC-signed preview links
- Admin console for content management and search analytics
Engineering Notes
- Vercel image-quota governance: WebP-only, trimmed device sizes, long edge-cache TTL
- TTL-cached Notion reads with a local fallback dataset, so the site builds even when Notion is down
Architecture, UI, backend, DevOps and content operations — done solo. This is what a one-person product team looks like in 2026.
